Max points for Jill & Dave on “Shibumi” means the B trophy is all but sewn up. The A trophy on the other hand, is hotly contested. The top 3 are all within 25 points of each other, with 2 races to go. Can “Clutch” Strickland hold on? Will “In the fast” Lane take the trophy home a 3rd time? Is “QoS” too far behind to catch Clutch? Is there a dark horse back in the pack who will “snatch victory from the jaws of defeat”! It won’t be me (Bryan “Spacebar” Spahr)… I’ve been “mathematically eliminated” :(

On a happier note – that was the best 5 laps I’ve watched in a long time. Matt “Robot” Kenseth was a gnat’s hair away from caving in JJ’s quarter panel and sending them both “Yard Sale” down the backstretch. (You know, a yard sale – where you put all your junk from the deepest innards of your house all over your front lawn…). But Robot held on to it and JJ only wet his pants a little, then went on to win by a country mile. Read more glowing praise for MK and JJ at NASCAR.com

Total 60 points.
Jill and Dave “Shibumi” lead the “B” trophy battle with 125 pts over Rick and Eliena “Pitstop” with 85.

Everybody else is stacking up behind her, like Denny Hamlin on the last restart at Atlanta. Get the details at NASCAR.com

Three players, Sonya QOS Spahr (65 max points), Cindy “Clutch” Strickland (55 points) and Jill and Dave “Shibumi” (55 points) had all three of their drivers in the top five … and picked up BIG points.
Jake “JBA all the way” Altizer just might go “ALL THE WAY.” He has 110 total points after 2 races. He earned 25 points for Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart (remember his drivers) … plus 10 bonus points thanks to his three drivers finishing in order … for a total of 35 points for the week to hold his first place spot in the battle for the Big “A” Trophy.

It was a messy day on the paperclip… and the Hendrick cars are still top dog. Read on at NASCAR.com

Notice that all 6 possible combinations of Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Tony Stewart are represented in the 9 teams above the fold today. Bumper Bill takes first place with the “in Order” combo bonus points, and everybody else follows in a close pack.

There was some action on pit road, but it was a little dull on the track. Get the inside scoop at NASCAR.com
